Steve Morris
Steve is a highly skilled senior manager with over 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry. His expertise is in Purchasing, Sales and Network Planning, including, network infrastructure acquisition, subsea cable consortia and International Wholesale Products and Services.
Steve's early career was spent at BT and he subsequently moved on to work for some major names in telecommunications such as Energis, Level 3 and Interoute. Most recently he was at AT&T as an Interim Global Novation Manager and T-Systems (Deutsche Telekom), where he led the review of Local Access strategy on a Global basis to recommend options and cost saving measures.
Significant achievements during his career include:
Leading on Local access negotiations and agreements for Interoute in Central Europe (approx 12 countries) - Interoute.
UK-Spain (Rioja) subsea cable system - chair and commercial project leader of international consortia - BT.
Leading an international team to establish international relationships with four global carriers. Both internal and external coordination was needed across all groups (Network/Finance/commercial/legal/Product) - Energis.
Lead on drafting contracts for other international subsea systems - UK-Germany 4/TAT10/Channel Islands network - BT.
Responsibility for Pipeline/subsea cable crossing agreements (numerous) - BT.
Pan European fibre network acquisition project - network in 8 cities - Interoute.
Fibre acquisition in Vienna - Interoute.
Customer facing contracts for various products in Nordics and UK - Deutsche Telekom.
Established Global bandwidth links and access capacities to support a switched terrestrial voice network linking six Earth stations - ICO.
