Mike Read - Advisor
Mike's extensive industry experience is invaluable in guiding and challenging the management team.
He has an impressive track record spanning over 30 years in creating value in businesses, Mergers and Acquisitions, raising funds both in the UK and USA and successfully taking companies through periods of transformation.
Mike's early career was with BT (British Telecommunications plc) where he reached the position of Chief of Global Engineering. Since the mid-1990s he has worked with a number of major global ICT organisations including AOL in the USA. His most recent roles were Board Director Daisy Communications, CEO Freedom4 Ltd and CEO, Pipex Communications plc. He was also a Non-Executive Director of Ovum the research and consulting company.
Mike's achievements include raising £250m+ from AIM market for acquisitions for Pipex/Freedom4 and creating a JV with Intel Capital to exploit 3.6GHz radio licence and to launch WiMAX services in the UK.
Mike is currently on the Board of a number of ICT companies. These are:

- Non-Executive Director - 3seven9 (web design and digital marketing agency)
- Advisor to Kabel-X Holdings (cable extraction)
